Christmas Tree Festival

    Knutsford Community Christmas Tree Festival

Friday 07 December to Sunday 09 December

St. Cross Church, Mobberley Road, Knutsford has hosted very successfully four previous Christmas Tree Festivals. The Festival is a wonderful community event, bringing together local businesses, schools, sports clubs, police and fire services, and individuals – all together under one roof – and providing an opportunity for them to promote their benefits to the community. IT IS SIMPLY MAGICAL.

At each Festival there have been 60+ trees decorated by different organisations using their own chosen theme and displayed for visitors to view over the weekend.  We have had shuttlecock choristers from the badminton club, a pink tree from the police, Father Christmas skeletons from the physios, a tree wrapped in bandages from First Responders, a tree covered in book marks made by children from the library. The atmosphere on the Thursday when everyone is setting up their trees is electric (a slight pun there as there were, of course, lots of lights!), it is huge fun and 100% full of community spirit.

Funds at 2010 and 2012 were raised for Children’s Adventure Farm Trust, in 2014 Knutsford Community First Responders benefitted and in 2016 the 1st Knutsford Scouts benefitted. In 2018 we will be supporting the Knutsford Lions who carry out a number of good works in the community.

The funds are raised by charging an entrance fee to the festival. Over the festival weekend St.Cross Church run a tea and coffee ‘lounge’ in the parish rooms with raffle and other stalls, the funds from which go towards the Church for building maintenance and supporting their mission in the community.

If you would like to be involved and/or supply a tree please fill in a participation form. If you don’t have one please visit  for an electronic version, email or call Grahame 01565632168.
