Our Harvest Thanksgiving this year was a great success with thanks once again to our parishioners who supported this generously. We support Hope Central in Knutsford all year round but Harvest naturally brings a more focused response. We also had a Harvest Lunch with a simple raffle where people gave a donation for one ticket. The proceeds of the raffle and lunch raised £180 which was able to provide village toilets in Mozambique, Zambia and the Congo. All of them will bring safety, dignity and privacy.
This basic provision prevents generational poverty because it will be one step towards healthier lives and families being in debt to money-lenders (loan sharks)who charge extortionate interest rates, often illegally, to pay for medicine.
